WHAT IS CBD
CBD is short for Cannabidiol, which is one of 100 naturally occurring compounds (cannabinoids) found in the Cannabis Sativa L. plant.
WHAT IS THC
Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the principal psychoactive constituent of cannabis and one of at least 113 total cannabinoids identified on the plant.
DIFFERENCES BETWEEN CBD AND THC
Both CBD and THC interact with the body’s natural cannabinoid receptors, so it’s easy to confuse the two. Both are found in cannabis plant and are the two most active ingredients. Therefore, they are found in the same plant and often work together, but they do have major differences.
While THC delivers the 'high', CBD is reassuringly non-psychoactive, meaning it can be taken without the side effects associated with marijuana. All of our products go through stringent testing to ensure they’re less than 0.2% THC for the best results.
HOW DOES CBD WORK
CBD is a cannabinoid that interacts with the receptors in the human body’s endocannabinoid system. These receptors regulate the body’s essential functions in everyday life, from appetite and digestion to sleep and mood.
CBD helps these receptors to maintain a natural balance, which in turn supports mental health and body wellness.
WHAT IS A GMP-CERTIFICATION
GMP stands for Good Manufacturing Practices, a certification that is awarded to manufactures who are in compliance with the highest manufacturing standards.
Oxocan CBD Oils and CBD Capsules are GMP-Certified and compliant.
IS CBD LEAGAL
Yes, CBD is legal in the UK, most EU countries, the US, Canada and Australia (broad-spectrum).
IS CBD SAFE DURING PREGNANCY / BREASTFEEDING

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN FULL-SPECTRUM / BROAD-SPECTRUM / CBD ISOLATES
Full-spectrum CBD contains more cannabinoids and other natural compounds. That means it can have trace amounts of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). In the United Kingdom legally full-spectrum products will always have less than 0.2 percent THC. In Countries where cannabis is fully legal, you may also be able to find full-spectrum products with higher levels of THC.
This type of CBD does not contain THC. It does contain other components of the cannabis plant, though, so it won’t be 100-percent CBD alone. Consider it the middle child of the three CBD choices.
It is pure CBD product in form of the powder. This isolate contains no other compounds found in cannabis, except for the CBD itself.
WHY USE CBD
An extremely popular use of CBD oil is in dealing with chronic pain, insomnia, stress, anxiety, nausea and eplilepsy. Many people are looking for an effective pain management solution to assist with prescribed drugs or simply to add benefit. There are many studies, with many more on-going, reviewing the use of CBD and CBD oil for this purpose. In particular, the results of studies that suggest CBD can reduce arthritis and sclerosis pain has created a platform for further studies on the use of CBD for pain reduction and management.
There have also been studies into the use of CBD in reducing depression and anxiety in people. Again, this is an area that many people have concerns about or suffer from, and the management of these conditions is a growing sector, with initial studies suggesting that CBD can be an effective tool in the treatment of many mental disorders. Research is likely to continue, focusing on how CBD positively impacts on people suffering from mental disorders and conditions.
Further medical use of CBD and CBD oil has arisen due to a study that found that CBD can be used in alleviating cancer symptoms. Given the interest in cancer care, the demand for further research into this area of CBD use if significant.
CBD oil is also believed to have a positive impact on acne, on caring for and supporting the heart and the protection and improvement of the nervous system.
Given the wide range of areas where CBD and CBD oil has been found to have a positive impact on the human body.
DOES CBD MAKE YOU HIGH
CBD will not make you high as it's non-psychoactive.
TAKING CBD WITH OTHER MEDICATIONS
Please consult with your doctor and/or healthcare provider regarding questions about how prescription medications and/or supplements will interact with your regimen.
ANY NEGATIVE SIDE-EFFECTS
According to the World Health Organisation, CBD is generally well tolerated with a good safety profile. However, it may cause adverse reactions in some people.
Reported side effects include dry mouth and drowsiness, and it can cause a small drop in blood pressure. You should consult your doctor if you experience any adverse side effects after taking our products.
WHAT DOES CBD OIL TASTE LIKE
Even though there are diverse ways to consume CBD oil, if you are going to taste our CBD oil you will be able to taste cannabinoid and organic hemp oil. However, this isn’t a bad experience for users, some of the most common descriptions for the taste of CBD oil include earthy, grassy and nutty.
Some people will appreciate the taste of CBD oil straight away while research has shown that many people have developed a taste for CBD oil through use.
HOW DO YOU CONSUME CBD
We offer CBD in a variety of formats from oils and capsules. Whilst each format can affect you in a slightly different way, ultimately, it comes down to personal preference. Oils are often most talked and a top choice for those just starting on their CBD journey, whilst capsules are for those who don't like earthy taste or just prefer capsules.
The most popular method of taking CBD is through CBD Oils. To allow the oils to fully absorb, place a few drops of Oxocan CBD oil under your tongue and hold them there for around 60 seconds before swallowing.
As well as placing the drops under the tongue, you can also add the drops to your favourite smoothie.
WILL CBD TREAT MY ILLNESS
Our products are intended to promote everyday health and wellbeing. They are not to be used to treat, cure or prevent illnesses. As always, you should consult with your doctor before trying any new supplements or medications to ensure that you are safe to do so.
WHY ARE GMP-CERTIFIED CBD PRODUCTS EXPENSIVE
All Oxocan CBD products go through extensive manufacturing processes and are tested by certified third-party laboratories to ensure the highest quality of CBD is provided to our consumers.
The process - from the initial extraction of the natural oils from the hemp plant to the production of the final product - is both a complex and costly journey, and only the highest quality ingredients are used.
WILL CBD CALM MY MOOD
Many people are looking for calmness and serenity in their life these days and finding a product that takes some of the stress and strains out of everyday life is worthwhile and appealing. Therefore, it is only natural that many people will develop an interest in CBD.
Given that CBD is highly recommended by many people suffering from anxiety and stress, it wouldn’t be a stretch of the imagination to think that people looking to experience calmness in life would benefit from taking the product. People who are looking for peace in their lives may be quick to point out that they don’t suffer from anxiety, and that a desire for calm is completely different from anxiety. This is true.
However, CBD has been shown to, and confirmed in the reviews of users, make people more relaxed and less concerned about issues in life when they take CBD. This is the outcome that many people are looking for, which means that CBD is a suitable option to consider.
Of course, different people have different personalities, and some folk will be calmer than others, to begin with. It may be that some people need a great deal of assistance to become calmer, whereas some people may find that a few minute’s peace will make all the difference.
It is best to think about your own needs, how pressing your issue are and whether you think that CBD will help you find calmness. It is often best to try the product for yourself because this is the only way that you will know for certain if you can experience the benefits and calmness that many people have found with CBD oil.
WILL I DEVELOP A TOLERANCE TO CBD
If you plan on using CBD oil regularly, it is understandable that you have concerns as to whether you will develop a tolerance to CBD. The good news is that CBD doesn’t comply with the most traditional definition of drugs because it doesn’t bind to a particular receptor set or receptor in the mind. It is the repetitive binding to receptors that lead to tolerance and addiction.
This is the case for legal and illegal drugs, with many people suffering from an addiction to things such as painkillers that can be bought over the counter. This isn’t just an issue for illegal drugs that people know to be wary of, it is possible for people to develop an addiction to a wide range of drugs, so it is important to understand that CBD is not a drug.
CBD, rather than binding, modulates and regulates, which means that it will not develop an addiction, nor will it become habitual.
Once a person has reached a level of saturation regarding CBD, the person could stay at this level or even decrease their level and not experience any negative outcome. People can reduce their dosage and still feel the benefit of using the product, which wouldn’t be the case if the product was addictive.
There is also the benefit that a person can stop using CBD immediately and not experience withdrawal issues or suffer the effects of going “cold turkey “as with addictive drugs. This is a great comfort for many people, and it is a feature that comes up on a regular basis in the reviews and testimonials posted by CBD users.
Given the links to hemp, it is only natural that people hold or develop concerns over the use of CBD, but the most important thing is that there are no findings to suggest that these concerns have any basis or grounding.
The only issue that someone taking CBD would need to consider in stopping their use of the product, is whether the symptoms they suffered before will return. In many cases, the assistance provided by CBD allows people to change their ways or improve their health in such a manner that when the time comes to stop taking CBD, they no longer experience the products or difficulties that led them to use CBD in the first place.
However, there may be conditions where it is the use of CBD that allows people to manage their problem and, in this regard, stopping taking CBD may result in the initial problems returning. Everyone must consider the problems and issues in their own way.
It may be that people are keen to stop taking CBD as soon as they can, which is understandable, but equally, if CBD is making a positive difference in a person’s life, it is understandable that people will want to continue taking it. As CBD is used by so many people for so many conditions, it is impossible to say that the product should only be used for this length of time or how much should be consumed.
Each person is different and even though trial and error are unlikely to be a satisfactory answer for people who want clearly defined guidelines on how to use a product, it is the best way to approach the use of CBD. This is as true for when you started taking the product and you are working out how much you should use, as it is for when you think you may want to stop using the product.
There is no danger in stopping taking CBD immediately, but if you have concerns about issues returning, you should consider lowering the amount of CBD you consume to determine if the old symptoms or ailments return.
If the problems that led you to take CBD return, you should continue with using CBD, perhaps even increasing your dosage but if you find that there are no ailments or problems, it may be best for you to further reduce the use of CBD or even stop using it entirely. The fact that you can do so without fear of addiction or suffering an addiction provides many people with the confidence to start using CBD.
As there are no concerns about addiction or habitual use, you can start taking the product in an optimistic frame of mind, which will help you to get the most of your usage.
HOW WILL CBD MAKE ME FEEL
One of the most commonly asked questions regarding the use of CBD is how the user will feel after consuming it. Even though CBD is not psychoactive, the feelings associated with the use of CBD is a major issue for people, and whilst everyone is likely to have their thoughts, the overriding feeling associated with the use of CBD is the effect it has on anxiety.
It is important to point out that the use of CBD doesn’t produce euphoric qualities of its own, many users have stated an increase in their happiness levels after using CBD. This shouldn’t be a surprise. After all, if a person has been suffering from anxiety and this is no longer so, it is likely that a person will feel happier, which is likely to create a sensation where they are close to euphoria.
Similarly, if a person has been experiencing considerable pain for a period and this pain has gone, the person will feel uplifted, optimistic and generally much happier.
The use of CBD by itself doesn’t provide feelings of euphoria. However, given that CBD helps relieve pain and reduces anxious or uncomfortable feelings, it is natural that many CBD users state that their mood feels lighter and brighter after the consumption of CBD or CBD oil.
HOW LONG DOES CBD STAY IN YOUR SYSTEM
The duration of how long CBD stays in your system depends on several factors such as dosage, frequency, body's metabolism, food, and CBD form. Because each individual has a different body response, the amount of CBD taken and its route plays a big role in how long it gets broken down and absorbed in your system. But according to some research, CBD stays in your system anywhere from 24 hours to a week.
